Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter 7mm Rem Mag 24" 3+1 Bolt-Action Rifle

The Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter is a lightweight, straight-pull bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum. Purpose-built for backcountry big game hunts, it pairs a Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel with a rugged aluminum receiver and a gray synthetic stock to deliver a sub-7.5-pound package ready for long carries and reliable performance in tough terrain.

At the front end sits a 24" Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel threaded barrel with a 1:9" twist. The threaded muzzle comes fitted with Savage's OmniPort muzzle brake to help reduce felt recoil and keep the shooter on target for fast follow-up shots. The barrel is mated to a black aluminum receiver machined with an integrated Picatinny optics rail; no iron sights are included, allowing the shooter to mount their preferred scope or red dot directly.

The signature feature of the Impulse line is Savage's straight-pull bolt action, which cycles without the conventional lift-and-rotate motion of a traditional bolt for quicker follow-up shots. The action is paired with the adjustable AccuTrigger for a clean, customizable pull weight, and a tang safety for intuitive operation. The Mountain Hunter feeds from a detachable box magazine with a 3+1 capacity.

The gray AccuStock synthetic stock incorporates Savage's AccuFit system with interchangeable comb risers and length-of-pull spacers so the rifle can be tailored to the individual shooter. Ambidextrous stock and controls make the Mountain Hunter equally comfortable for left- and right-handed hunters.

Overall length is 43.50" and unloaded weight comes in at 7.24 lbs, positioning the Impulse Mountain Hunter as a true lightweight mountain rifle without sacrificing the accuracy and dependability Savage is known for.
