The Savage Axis 2 XP Combo packages Savage's proven, value-priced hunting rifle with a factory-mounted optic so it's range-ready straight out of the box. Chambered in 400 Legend - a straight-walled cartridge designed for big game hunting in states that restrict bottlenecked rounds - this Compact model offers a 4+1 capacity. The 20" Heavy Sporter barrel uses a 1:16 twist to stabilize the wide, heavy projectiles the cartridge is built around.

The Left Hand bolt action features a carbon steel receiver paired with a fixed OD Green synthetic stock sized down for shorter pulls and smaller-framed shooters. Savage's adjustable AccuTrigger lets the shooter dial in a clean, crisp break, and iron sights are omitted in favor of the included optic. At 39.50" overall and 7.40 lbs, the rifle carries comfortably through the woods and sits steady on a bench or shooting sticks.

This XP Combo ships with a factory-installed and boresighted Weaver 3-9x40mm riflescope mounted to the integral rail, giving a new hunter a complete, ready-to-shoot package for whitetail, hogs, or any straight-wall-legal big game pursuit.
