The Savage Arms Axis 2 Compact is an affordable bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .223 Remington. Designed for hunters and shooters who want dependable out-of-the-box performance in a compact package, the Axis 2 Compact pairs a 20-inch matte black heavy sporter barrel with a matte black drilled and tapped carbon steel receiver, giving shooters a solid platform ready for optics and accessories.

At the heart of the rifle is Savage's renowned adjustable AccuTrigger, which allows a clean, crisp pull tailored to the shooter. The heavy sporter contour barrel features a 1:9" twist rate. A four-round detachable box magazine feeds rounds reliably, with one in the chamber giving a 4+1 total capacity.

The Axis 2 Compact wears a fixed green synthetic stock with improved ergonomics over the original Axis design, paired to a carbon steel receiver finished in matte black.
