Savage 13836 Rascal Target XP 22 LR 16.13" 1rd Bolt-Action Left Hand Rifle

The Savage Rascal Target XP is a single-shot bolt-action rifle chambered in 22 LR, scaled down in size and weight to fit younger and smaller-statured shooters while still offering the feel and controls of a full-size rifle. This left-hand variant directs the bolt handle, ejection port, and safety over to the southpaw side so spent cases throw clear of the shooter's face rather than across the scope. The rifle is built around a 16.13" heavy threaded barrel with a target crown, paired to a carbon steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for optic mounting and finished in a satin black to match the matte black stock.

The action is a manually cocked single-shot bolt that opens by simply lifting the handle, allowing the rifle to be unloaded safely without ever pulling the trigger. Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets a parent or instructor dial in a clean, light pull appropriate to the shooter's hand strength, and a thumb safety keeps the gun positively safe until intentionally taken off. The barrel is cut at a 1:16 twist for stable performance with standard 22 LR ammunition, and the muzzle is threaded 1/2-28 for easy attachment of a suppressor or other muzzle device. Overall length comes in at 30.63" and weight is 5.88 lbs.

The fixed stock is a precision hardwood piece finished matte black, shaped to the Rascal's smaller-proportion geometry for a comfortable reach to the trigger and comb. With its blued metal finish and black stock, the rifle has a clean, uniform look that suits both the range and the field. The Target XP package ships with a mounted and boresighted 4x32mm scope attached to a one-piece Picatinny rail and a bipod mounted to the factory sling swivel stud, so the rifle is ready to shoot straight out of the box with no additional setup required.
