The Springfield Armory 1911 TRP AOS is a hand-fit, competition-inspired .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol built on a forged carbon steel frame and slide. Part of Springfield's premium TRP (Tactical Response Pistol) family, this AOS variant pairs the classic Government Model profile with a modern optic-ready slide, finished throughout in a low-glare, corrosion-resistant Black Cerakote.

At the heart of the TRP AOS is a 5" forged stainless steel match-grade barrel with a fully supported ramp and a traditional 1:16 twist. The forged carbon steel slide is machined with the Agency Optic System (AOS) cut for direct-mount red dot compatibility and features aggressive front cocking serrations for fast, positive manipulations and press checks. Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a crisp single-action trigger that stays classic to the 1911 platform.

Sighting runs a low-light-capable tritium front blade paired with a black serrated rear for quick, intuitive target acquisition, while the AOS cut accepts popular red dot footprints via the appropriate mounting plate. The frame wears ergonomic VZ Hydra G10 grip panels for a confident, repeatable hold under recoil, and the pistol feeds from 8-round magazines, shipping with three (3) magazines included right out of the box.

Overall length is 8.6" in the classic full-size Government Model configuration. With forged components, a match-grade barrel, an optic-ready slide, and ambidextrous controls, the 1911 TRP AOS is built to serve as a serious defensive, duty, or range pistol for the discerning 1911 enthusiast.
