The Springfield Armory 1911 Operator AOS is a full-size, single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP, purpose-built for tactical and defensive use. As part of Springfield's Operator series, it blends the classic 1911 platform with modern refinements for duty-grade performance.

The pistol rides on a 5.75" forged stainless steel barrel finished with a nitride treatment for durability and corrosion resistance. The barrel is threaded for suppressor or compensator attachment. The optic-ready, serrated slide accepts red dot optics through Springfield's AOS mounting system, and Tritium night sights provide intuitive aiming in low light. An integrated Picatinny accessory rail under the dust cover supports weapon lights or lasers.

The steel frame and slide wear a Coyote Brown Cerakote finish for a rugged, low-glare surface built for hard field use. VZ G10 grips deliver a confident, textured hold. The Operator AOS feeds from an 8-round magazine, giving 8+1 capacity, weighs approximately 42 oz, measures 8.6" overall, and stands 5.25" tall for the familiar full-size 1911 balance point.
