Sig Sauer machines the stainless steel frame and slide and finishes them in a non-reflective bead-blasted texture for a subdued, all-business look. The 4.2-inch barrel pairs with an 8+1 capacity fed from a pair of included 8-round steel magazines, giving you a loaded-and-ready pair out of the box. The optics-ready, serrated slide is cut to accept popular red-dot footprints while retaining co-witness with the installed XRay3 day/night sights, so you can run the factory iron sights today and add an optic whenever you're ready.

Control-wise, the 1911-X Carry keeps the classic 1911 layout: a grip safety, an extended ambidextrous thumb safety, and the familiar single-action trigger pull.
