The Ed Brown EVO KC9 LW is a commander-length 1911-pattern semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, purpose-built from the slide down as a lightweight carry piece. The "LW" (Lightweight) configuration shaves ounces by thinning the slide while keeping the custom-shop fit, finish, and shooting character that defines the Ed Brown line, and the trimmer 7+1 single-stack magazine well package further trims bulk for easier concealment.

A 4" stainless bull barrel is paired with a Black Gen4 finished slide cut with traditional serrations for positive press checks and charging-hand purchase. The frame is a Black Gen4 carbon steel unit fitted with an integral beavertail for a high, recoil-controlling grip, and a classic thumb safety for crisp, positive engagement. Black grips round out the all-black presentation, giving this pistol the cohesive, custom-shop look Ed Brown is known for.
