Colt Mfg Defender 45 ACP 3" 7+1 SAO Pistol - FDE Frame

The Colt Defender is a compact, carry-ready 1911-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Built around a short 3" barrel with a 7+1 capacity, this Defender tucks the proven 1911 single-action feel into a sub-compact package well suited for concealed carry and personal defense.

The slide is carbon steel with a black finish and serrated cocking surfaces for positive press checks and slide manipulation. The lightweight aluminum frame is finished in Flat Dark Earth and incorporates an upswept beavertail that promotes a high, secure hold on the compact frame. G10 grip panels provide a slim, positive hold, and Novak night sights are fitted for low-light target acquisition.

The Defender is a true SAO (Single Action Only) pistol operating on the classic short-recoil 1911 locking system. Controls include a grip safety along with the standard 1911 thumb safety. Overall length is 6.75", and the lightweight aluminum frame keeps unloaded weight at approximately 24 oz.
