The Colt LE6920 OEM1 M4 Carbine brings Colt's combat-proven AR-15 platform to a builder-friendly package chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. This semi-automatic carbine is built around a 16.10" chrome-lined barrel with a 1:7" twist, optimized for stabilizing a wide range of bullet weights from lightweight varmint loads to bonded defensive and match-grade projectiles.

The heart of the LE6920 is its direct gas system with a locking bolt, a configuration carried over from Colt's military M4 lineage. A pinned A2 front sight post sits at the gas block, while the upper ships without a rear sight or back-up iron, leaving the end user free to mount their preferred optic. A factory muzzle brake is installed at the muzzle. Controls include a standard trigger and a traditional AR-pattern lever safety.

This OEM1 configuration is sold without furniture, meaning no handguard, buttstock, pistol grip, or trigger guard is included from the factory. It is intended for end users who plan to outfit the carbine with their preferred drop-in or free-float handguard, buttstock, grip, and lower parts kit. The upper and lower receiver are machined from aluminum and finished in a durable matte black hardcoat anodized finish, with black phosphate on the steel components for wear resistance. The carbine measures 32" overall, is configured for right-hand operation, and accepts standard AR-15/M16 pattern detachable magazines with a 30+1 capacity (magazine not included).
