"Small Batch" alert: we are first to bring to market a limited run of KBK wz. rifles still wearing their torch-cut Type 3 receivers and intact factory barrels. Every kit is listed individually, so what you see is exactly what you get.
This set is a 1962-dated, Circle 11-stamped Polish AK-47 that left Radom's famed Łucznik factory. It retains a matching-number group (#04457) – receiver stub, bolt, bolt-carrier, recoil spring and dust cover all roll-marked alike. The original cold-hammer-forged barrel remains pinned in the trunnion with strong, bright rifling.
KBK is short for Karabinek—Polish for "carbine." The model code wz. 1962 ("wzór 1962" = "Pattern 1962") identifies Poland's license-built Type 3 AK with a machined receiver. 1962 represents one of the LATEST production years for milled Polish AKs, as Poland transitioned to stamped-receiver AKMs shortly thereafter. Produced in relatively small numbers from 1957-1962, these rifles bridged the gap between the Soviet Type 3 and the stamped-receiver AKM. While most were fixed-stock models, a small number were produced with a milled underfolder stock, making this variant particularly desirable. Because most were rebuilt or used for AKM conversions in the late 1960s, matching KBK wz. 1962 kits are exceptionally scarce today.
Matching Numbers: Serial #04457 matches receiver on: bolt carrier, dust cover, recoil spring assembly, bolt, cut receiver. Note: color of handguards.
Condition: GOOD CONDITION. Arsenal finish shows minor handling wear; wood exhibits light storage dings but no cracks. Note: color of handguards.
Supply is extremely limited – Don't miss the chance to build or preserve a true piece of Cold-War history.
NOTE: All parts must be inspected and installed by a qualified gunsmith. Receiver pieces are sold as historical artifacts only.
