The Phase 5 Weapon Systems PBS is a Carbine Enhanced Pistol Buffer Spring built to upgrade cycling in AR-platform pistols and standard carbine rifles. It supplies the extra power and durability the factory spring can sometimes lack, giving short-barreled pistol builds and carbine shooters noticeably more consistent operation shot after shot.

This enhanced spring is wound from heat-treated, corrosion-resistant steel wire and measures 10.5" overall, so it drops right into the buffer tube of any standard AR-15/M16 carbine or AR-pistol setup. It is purpose-built and tuned for use with AR-15/M16 rifles and pistols chambered in .223/5.56mm, working with carbine and pistol buffer weights to keep the bolt carrier group cycling smoothly and reliably without changing your existing buffer.
