Magpul MOE AK Handguard AK-47/AKM/AK-74 Black Polymer

The Magpul MOE AK Handguard is a Made in the USA, reinforced heat-resistant black polymer replacement for standard stamped-receiver AK-47/AKM/AK-74 pattern rifles without a front sling loop on the handguard retaining cap. Designed to drop in using your existing front handguard cap, it adds serious functionality where the factory wooden or plastic handguards left off.

The MOE AK handguard features M-LOK accessory slots at the three, six, and nine o'clock positions for direct-attach M-LOK accessories or M-LOK 1913 Picatinny rail sections. An integral black oxide coated stainless steel heat shield sits inside the guard, while the front lip and extended side panels shield the support hand from the hot barrel and add a generous gripping surface for better weapon control.

A replacement polymer top cover is included and is compatible with UltiMAK Optics Mount top covers. The guard also accepts the factory cleaning rod. Installation uses your existing front handguard retaining cap without a sling loop; for rifles with a sling loop on the cap, the loop can be removed to fit the MOE AK. Due to the wide range of tolerances typical of AK-pattern rifles, minor fitting may be required.

This handguard is not compatible with Yugo-pattern rifles, RPK-style receivers, or milled receivers. The MOE AK Handguard counts as one U.S. compliance part for 922(r).
