The Magpul MBUS Rear Sight (MAG248-BLK) is a low-cost, polymer, color injection molded folding back-up sight designed as a reliable secondary sighting solution for the AR-15/M16 platform. The dual aperture rear sight is adjustable for windage and fits most 1913 Picatinny rail equipped weapons, making it a versatile backup iron sight for any modern sporting rifle or carbine build.

Built for rugged field use, the spring-loaded flip-up sight is easily activated from either side or by pressing the top. Detent and spring pressure keep the sight erect during normal use but allow for unobstructed folding under impact. The MBUS clamps to a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny / STANAG 4694 receiver rail and provides the same height-over-bore as standard A2 irons, allowing for a consistent sight picture when transitioning from a primary optic to backup irons.

Protective wings shield the dual, same-plane flip apertures, which include both large and small apertures. The sight can still be folded with either aperture in position, and the detent knob provides easy and positive windage adjustment.
