The Hornady SST-ML Speed Sabot is a .50 caliber sabot that carries a smaller .45 caliber 250-grain SST projectile, giving muzzleloader hunters a high-BC, polymer-tipped bullet with extended effective range.

At the core of the projectile is Hornady's signature SST (Super Shock Tip) design, built around a lead core and copper jacket with Hornady's patented Flex Tip polymer tip. The tip initiates consistent expansion at all ranges while the bullet's .210 G1 ballistic coefficient and .175 sectional density preserve velocity and energy downrange, delivering 200-plus yard accuracy from a modern inline muzzleloader.

Hornady's Lock-N-Load Speed Sabot system wraps the smaller .45 caliber bullet in a low-drag .50 caliber sabot, allowing the projectile to be pre-assembled with the powder charge for faster, more consistent loading.
