FN 509 Tactical 9mm Luger 4.50" 17+1/24+1 Semi-Auto Pistol

The FN 509 Tactical is a duty-grade 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol built on FN's proven striker-fired platform and refined with the lessons learned from FN's submission for the U.S. Army Modular Handgun Trials. This configuration pairs a 4.50" cold hammer-forged stainless-steel barrel with a matte black optic-ready slide and a matte black polymer frame for a hard-use, mission-ready handgun ready for duty, home defense, or range work.

Up top, the slide is machined from stainless steel with a matte black finish and front serrations, and is cut for FN's patent-pending Low-Profile Optics Mounting System so the platform accepts today's most common miniature red dot (MRD) optics that co-witness with the installed iron sights. Raised sight wings on the slide cap help protect optic and sight alignment if the pistol is dropped, and double as a textured one-handed racking surface against a belt loop, pocket, or boot. Co-witnessed 3-dot suppressor-height night sights come standard, letting the gun run suppressed or behind a red dot without re-zeroing.

The cold hammer-forged stainless-steel barrel is finished with a target crown and cut with 1/2x28 threads, protected by a thread cap with an integrated O-ring that resists loosening during suppressed fire. The polymer frame wears an integral Picatinny accessory rail for mounting lights or lasers, and ships with two interchangeable backstraps so the user can tune the grip to their hand. Ambidextrous controls round out the package for both left- and right-handed shooters.

This FN 509 Tactical ships with a total of three magazines: one 17-round magazine and two 24-round magazines, giving the user generous loaded capacity right out of the box. The pistol is supplied in an FN logo soft pistol case and weighs 27.90 oz.
