The Colt Gold Cup Lite is the entry point into the legendary Gold Cup family of competition pistols, a line first introduced in the late 1950s to give competitive shooters a gun they could carry directly from the dealer's showcase to the firing line. Long regarded as one of the finest shooting semi-automatics ever produced, the Gold Cup set the standard for competitive .45 shooting, and this Lite variant carries that heritage forward in a 1911 Government-sized package configured for the modern target shooter.

Chambered in 45 ACP and built on a stainless steel frame with a matching stainless steel serrated slide, this pistol pairs classic 1911 architecture with a precision 5" National Match barrel for outstanding accuracy. The SAO action is broken by a Gold Cup Series 70 Wide 3 Hole Aluminum Target Trigger set at a clean 4-6 lb pull weight, while an ambidextrous thumb/grip safety and beavertail provide confident handling and control.

Sights are set up for serious target work: a Novak fiber optic front paired with an adjustable rear sight in a contrast configuration for fast, precise aiming. The frame and slide carry a brushed stainless steel finish, complemented by blue scalloped G10 grips that add a clean visual contrast to the all-stainless look and deliver a positive, textured hold. The pistol carries an 8+1 capacity, weighs 38 oz, and runs an overall length of 8.5 inches.
