The Birchwood Casey Coated Cleaning Rod is purpose-built for .17 to .20 caliber rifle bores in the 4.5-5.20 mm range. At 33 inches long, it delivers the reach needed to drive patches and brushes from breech to muzzle on standard-length barrels.
The shaft is built from synthetic coated steel for a smooth, non-marring surface that protects bore walls while you work. A free-floating handle tracks the rod down the bore without contacting it, preventing the handle from binding and reducing the chance of damage to the crown or throat.
The rod accepts standard cleaning attachments via female #5-40 threads, making it compatible with common bore brushes and slotted patch tips sized for small-caliber rifles. A reusable clear storage tube is included to keep the coated shaft clean, dry, and protected between uses.
