The Barnes TSX (Triple-Shock X) is a premium all-copper hunting bullet designed for deep penetration and maximum weight retention. Its solid copper construction eliminates the lead core, so the bullet holds together on impact and drives through heavy game without fragmenting. The TSX is rated to penetrate 28% deeper than comparable lead-core bullets and delivers nearly 100% weight retention.

This configuration is the .45-70 Government chambering in a 300 grain TSX Flat Base Flat Nose design. The bullet measures .458 in diameter, runs 1.048" long overall, and features the signature pressure-relieving cannelure plus a hollow point tip that initiates consistent expansion across a wide velocity window. A ballistic coefficient of .234 and sectional density of .204 round out the performance profile.

Barnes TSX bullets are sold as reloading projectiles only - projectiles, not loaded ammunition. Each box contains 20 bullets, intended for handloaders building dangerous-game and big-game .45-70 Government rifle loads. The flat base and flat nose profile is well suited to tubular magazine lever actions and single-shot rifles like the Marlin 1895, and the all-copper, lead-free construction is approved for use where lead is restricted.
