The Federal Premium 3rd Degree is a 20 Gauge turkey load built to put a full, even pattern on a tom at any practical range from a single shell.

Loaded in a 3" hull with a 1 1/2 oz three-stage payload of lead #5, #6, and #7 shot at a 1100 fps muzzle velocity, 3rd Degree layers three shot sizes in a single wad so a tight close-range pattern, a dense mid-range pattern, and a clean long-range pattern all come out of the same shell. Federal's proprietary FLITECONTROL FLEX wad keeps the shot column organized in flight, opens from the rear, and stays with the pellets longer than a conventional wad, holding patterns tight through both standard and ported turkey chokes. The result is full, consistent patterns whether a gobbler is closing the distance in heavy cover or strutting just out of bow range at the edge of a hardwood bench.
