The HEVI-Steel load, model HS60024, is the first all-steel shotshell ever built by HEVI-Shot, and it is built for serious waterfowl work in 12 Gauge shotguns.

Each shell comes in a 3" hull loaded with 1-3/8 oz of #2 and #4 shot, so you get a choice of pattern density in every round. The payload is non-toxic steel, and the High Velocity load drives it to 1450 fps out of the 3" shell.

HEVI-Steel is pushed at a higher velocity than competing steel loads, and that speed boost delivers more energy downrange where it counts on passing birds and open water. At 1-3/8 oz of payload it also throws denser patterns at close distances, which is where steel shot earns its keep over decoy spreads.
