The RCBS Hand Case Neck Turn Pilot is a caliber-specific guide sized for .31 caliber cartridge cases. Machined from stainless steel with a silver finish, this pilot installs into the RCBS Hand Case Neck Turner and centers the case neck against the turning cutter so the handloader can trim the outside of the case mouth down to a uniform thickness for concentric, consistent ammunition.

Even after resizing, case neck walls can vary in thickness around the circumference, which affects bullet tension and accuracy. The Neck Turn Pilot rides inside the case mouth and lets the cutter shave the outside of the neck down to a precise, even wall. The result is more uniform neck tension bullet-to-bullet and tighter groups downrange.

Each pilot is caliber-specific, and the 90414 pilot is the correct fit for .31 caliber cases. Stainless steel construction resists wear from repeated use and makes cleanup simple.
