Lee Precision 92220 Micrometer Bullet Seating Die 223 Rem

The Lee Precision 92220 Micrometer Bullet Seating Die is a precision reloading die purpose-built for the .223 Remington cartridge. Sold as a bullet seating die only, it gives handloaders exact, repeatable control over how far a bullet is seated into the case mouth and is intended to be paired with a separate sizing/depriming die to complete a .223 Rem reloading setup.

At its core is a precision-threaded seating stem that adjusts via an integrated micrometer for fine, incremental changes to seating depth, so there is no need to swap shims or trial-and-error spacers to dial in a load. The micrometer scale makes it simple to set a specific cartridge overall length (COAL) and return to the same setting round after round, which is especially useful when working up precision rifle loads or seating to a specific CBTO (cartridge base to ogive) value.

The die provides dead length bullet seating, seating the bullet to a fixed depth regardless of minor case-length variations. Smooth sliding bullet guides center the bullet as it enters the case mouth, and Lee testing shows this design produces cartridges with some of the lowest bullet runout in their line. The threaded seating stem is profiled to seat bullets mark-free on nearly any nose configuration.
