The Lee 90101 Primer Pocket Cleaner is a compact double-ended steel hand tool purpose-built to scrape built-up residue and carbon fouling from the primer pockets of spent centerfire cartridge cases. One end cleans large primer pockets while the opposite end cleans small primer pockets, making it a universal solution for almost any bottleneck or straight-walled case a reloader encounters at the bench.
Clean primer pockets are essential to safe, consistent handloading. Even a thin ring of residue left behind from a previous firing can keep a new primer from seating fully flush with the case head, which can cause inconsistent ignition, pressure spikes, and accuracy problems. The Lee Primer Pocket Cleaner removes that residue without damaging the pocket walls or enlarging the flash hole, so primers can be seated properly for better accuracy and safety. The tool is sized to work with all cases except .204 Ruger and .50 BMG, covering the vast majority of common centerfire reloading calibers.
Built from steel with a black finish, the 90101 is small enough to drop into a reloading bench drawer or range bag, and the simple turn-by-hand design means no power tools, drill, or press are required. A spent brass shell snaps onto the shank to act as a comfortable handle, giving you the leverage and grip to clean pockets quickly case after case. It is an inexpensive, must-have tool for any handloader who cares about consistent primer seating and reliable ammunition.
