The Hornady InterLock is Hornady's traditional line of reloading projectiles, engineered for hard-hitting terminal performance on game. This 35 Caliber (.355" diameter) Spire Point bullet is built around a soft lead core wrapped in a one-piece copper jacket, with an exposed lead tip that drives controlled, consistent expansion on impact.
At 170 grains, this bullet carries a sectional density of .193 and a G1 ballistic coefficient of .215, making it a proven choice for handloaders building cartridges like the 350 Legend and other .35 caliber bottleneck or straight-wall cases. The signature InterLock ring is embedded in the core during manufacturing, mechanically locking the jacket and the lead core together so the bullet retains mass and energy through expansion rather than shedding its front half.
Strategically placed inner grooves in the upper jacket section deliberately weaken the nose area in a controlled fashion, promoting reliable expansion at both close and extended ranges. A cannelure provides a positive seat-and-crimp reference, helping ensure consistent overall length and a tight bullet pull. The exposed soft lead tip initiates expansion quickly on game, while the tapered jacket wall delivers the penetration hunters expect from a traditional cup-and-core design.
Each box contains 100 bullets, packaged 15 boxes per case (1,500 bullets per case). These are reloading projectiles only - no brass, primers, or powder is included - and are intended for handloaders preparing their own .35 caliber hunting and sporting ammunition.
