Offered here in .452 diameter at 250 gr, the Flex Tip eXpanding projectile combines a patented polymer tip with a secant ogive profile, producing an aerodynamic bullet with a thinner, tapered nose and an extended bearing surface for a higher ballistic coefficient.

A high-antimony lead core is mechanically locked to the copper jacket by Hornady's signature InterLock ring, helping the bullet hold together on impact and drive deep into large or heavy-bodied game animals. The polymer tip and the absence of exposed lead at the nose make the FTX safe to load in tubular magazines without risk of tip-to-primed-cartridge ignition.
