The Underwood Xtreme Defender in .380 ACP +P is a personal defense load built around a 68 gr solid copper, fluted monolithic bullet. Manufactured by Underwood Ammo, the design uses an optimized nose flute, projectile weight, and velocity to drive deep penetration while producing a substantial permanent wound cavity on impact.

Loaded to +P pressure, this round drives the 68 gr fluted copper projectile from the muzzle at 1400 fps, generating 296 ft lbs of muzzle energy. The solid copper, lead-free construction is engineered for reliable feeding in .380 ACP carry pistols. The fluted tip petals on impact for controlled terminal expansion, and the bullet carries a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.087.
