The Geissele Automatics Super Modular Rail MK8 is a 13.5" free-float handguard purpose-built for the MK8 rifle platform and fully compatible with AR-15, M4, and M16-pattern uppers. Machined from 7000 series aluminum and finished in rugged Type-3 hardcoat anodized black, the SMR MK8 was one of the first rails on the market to feature the Magpul M-LOK attachment system for low-profile accessory mounting.

A continuous Picatinny flat-top runs the full length for optics and back-up iron sights, while M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions accept lights, lasers, grips, and bipods. Maximum venting at the lower 45-degree quadrants keeps the rail cool and lightweight, and the slim outer profile hugs the barrel without snagging. Key dimensions include a 2.3" overall height, a 1.35" inner diameter, a 2.11" outer diameter, and a bare weight of just 10.8 oz before mounting hardware.
