The Faxon Firearms Type 2 Bolt Carrier Group is a premium drop-in BCG engineered for AR-platform rifles chambered in 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, and 22 ARC. Manufactured from 9310 tool steel with a salt bath nitride finish, this BCG is built to feed, extract, and cycle reliably in precision-rifle applications using the larger-bolt-face Grendel family of cartridges.

The bolt is magnetic particle inspected (MPI) and shot-peened, then paired with a .136 bolt face sized specifically for the case heads of 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, and 22 ARC. The salt bath nitride treatment hardens the surface for long-term wear resistance and corrosion protection while preserving the lubricity needed for smooth cycling under sustained fire.
