PPS-43 Magazines
I purchased 20 + plus of the PPS-43 magazines, some 30, and some 35-round capacity. I found rust on a couple of the magazines, which is to be expected. Called up David and he gladly exchanged the magazines for different ones. Advise to steer clear of the 30 round mags, I could not get the floor plate to stay on the 30 rounders as they have been “Cut down at the Arsenal in Poland to make a 30 out of a 35 round mag” …To each his own. Overall, these are surplus magazines, and I had a couple that cleaned up well with steel wool after I removed the cosmoline, which was not heavy applied except to 1 or 2 magazines. The rest of my magazines were light oil/cosmoline. Again, I ordered over 20 magazines from Centerfire and that’s what the condition of my magazines arrived. Great deal on quality steel magazines overall, bluing remained about 80 percent. Some surface rust where scratches were present (steel wool and oil solves the light rust issues.!) ….Big D.
