Notably, these models come with Sporterized stocks, making them ineligible for Curio and Relic (C&R) status. Produced in the renowned Zastava Arms Factory, these historical firearms are a rare find for both shooters and collectors. Chambered in 7.9x57mm (8mm Mauser or marked 8 x 57 on the rifle), these rifles boast a 5-round capacity and exhibit good surplus condition overall. The buttpads on these firearms are handmade leather or rubber that will either be screwed in or nailed in.

Great find for the money!
I picked up one of these guns because the price was too good to pass up. When the gun arrived, I was happy and surprised at how good the condition was. After wiping away the layer of grime as well as the grease it had been preserved in, a very good to excellent condition rifle was on my workbench! The stock had no major nicks or scratches, the bore (once cleaned well) is in good condition and the bolt moves smoothly and freely! A headspace check showed that everything was in spec, and there were no signs of stress on the receiver or barrel. I was also surprised to see no rust or corrosion, considering corrosive ammo abounds in this caliber. With the prices guns are going for these days, if this comes back in stock, and you want a gun that shoots the respectable 8mm Mauser, I would nab one before they're all gone again!
