Romanian Model M74 gas mask GOST 40mm
The gas mask is a Romanian model m74 gas mask. Mine arrived brand new old stock. It did not come with the instructions. Not a big deal. Beware this model uses gost 40 mm thread filters not nato standard 40 mm thread filters. They are not the same. I bought this for my collection not for actual use. No instructions included and it seems to be Romanian mask
In the advertised picture the instructions are in Romanian language . However the instructions did not come with the masks and on the package it says Hungarian not Romanian as it said at the advertised image at the time of purchase. I was expecting to get some of my money back or a set of instructions but chances are slim. Thank you !

Romanian not Hungarian gas masks
The masks are wrongly described . they are Romanian , there are stamps on the bag written in Romanian language which I speak fluently . The instruction manual in the advertising picture is in Romanian . why say they are Hungarian and create a mess? Why there is no manual as it is advertised ? I would expect that you fix the problem as soon as possible. I talked to Becky and she said to return them . that is not the way I usually do things. I need to trust the supplier for the correct information or at least to get some of my money back. if you do not say sorry with money, you will never fix much . Thanks

Not Hungarian, but a fantastic buy.
This is one of the best masks I've ever seen. It is Surplus New and just like it came off the assembly line. I didn't receive a manual like the picture shows, so if you need the instruction sheet for authenticity you might look around to find one, but don't pass up this mask. You really can't beat it and for the price you'd expect to get much less in a gas mask. Now for the bad news. It's really a Romanian mask. After communication with other collectors we agreed that it wasn't a Hungarian mask. It is instead a Romanian M74 mask, and that shouldn't hurt the buyer one bit. Maybe Centerfire Systems should change the description though. I'm sure they didn't mean to deceive anyone, it's hard to keep all of this material coming in from surplus stock piles all over the world straight all of the time. Don't worry the quality, as much as these things have quality, is excellent, and you won't regret this purchase.
