    German ammo can

Posted by Chris on Apr 4th 2024

Great item, a little thinner then the WWII German ammo cans and do not have room for the insulation strips but look cool next to the originals. They do need a light clean, rust if any is very minor, and the leather handles are all in excellent condition.

Well I bought 10 and all where in excellent condition except for being a bit dirty and greasy, other wise they where all straight ..no scratched paint and the leather was still on all the handles ,I have a number of ww2 German cans that I payed 4 times more for …these are slimmer and once wiped down with alcohol look in very good ..no water seal but that’s okay, they are designed to be carried 2 at a time by a rope or strap ..that’s kinda cool ,anyway center fire always carry’s great treasure …

Ordered 2 of these, one excellent for its age,the other a little rusty, they both cleaned up great.they are eye candy, amongst your run of the mill 30’s,and 50’s.they don’t have seals, not a big deal my ammo lives in an interior closet.

    Great Cans

Hard to find cans, with multiple uses. I bought several for ammo and cleaning items. You can rig a sling to these, and carry them over your shoulder.
