The Stern Defense RAB-AD Rapid-Attach Buttstock Adapter (MFR # 008SDRABADD1M, UPC 850001176774) lets you pop an AR-15 stock off—and back on—in one quick 30° twist while adding only 3.5 oz and ≈1.25” to length-of-pull. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with hardened-steel internals and a Type III hard-coat anodized finish, it locks automatically when you twist clockwise and releases when you push the button and rotate counter-clockwise. Compatible with standard-length MIL-SPEC AR-15 buffer tubes—whether direct-impingement, gas-piston, direct-blowback, or radial-delayed systems—this adapter makes storage or discreet transport far easier than a folding stock while keeping your existing recoil system intact.
How It Works

Detach: Push the side button, twist counter-clockwise 30 degrees, and pull the stock straight off.
