The used Ruger SP101 .38 Special, features a 3 inch barrel, 5rd capacity, and is in a Stainless Steel finish. These revolvers were exported to Europe and show some wear but are in Very Good Condition. They are equipped with either factory Ruger or Trausch manufactured, three finger groove black grips with lanyard ring. The SP101 will fire single action and double action. Most of these guns will have European Proof Marks on the Frame, Barrel and Cylinder. These marks will be in varying places on each gun.
Ruger's patented safety transfer bar, attached directly to the trigger, prevents accidental firing by stopping the hammer from striking a cartridge without the trigger being pulled. The firing pin is located within the frame, a feature also common on Ruger revolvers since 1973.
