Description
This is a complete, original Romanian "G" AKM parts kit — one of the finest surplus Romanian G kits available. The "G" designation indicates these rifles were produced specifically for the Patriotic Guard of Romania, a state militia that served as a border control force during the Cold War era. These distinctive rifles feature a bold crimson red "G" marking on the sight block and are easily recognized by their iconic wooden DONG handguard.
The kit includes the original Cugir cold-hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel with crisp rifling and a clean bore. Manufactured at the Cugir state arsenal in Romania, these barrels are renowned for their durability and quality. Available in your choice of matching serial numbers (bolt, bolt carrier, recoil spring, and dust cover match the trunnion) or non-matching serial numbers for a lower price point. In several matching kits, the serial on the wooden DONG also matches the trunnion.
The kit features the famous one-piece wooden "DONG" handguard along with a wooden buttstock, all in Very Good condition. The metal finish and wooden components present very well for surplus parts. Please note the original receiver has been torch-cut and is missing some receiver stubs — included for parts only unless local law allows otherwise.
