Usage Recommendations:
- As with all firearms, this Semi-Auto shotgun upper must go through a break-in period. In some cases, two boxes might be required.
- These uppers were designed and tested using European-manufactured 410 shotgun shells.
- For best results, use shells that measure 2.25" - 2.39" in overall length.
- Use .410 High Brass Shotgun shells to break in. A minimum of 1200 fps is recommended. These magazines will not accommodate all 2 1/2″ 410 gauge shells. 410 ammunition varies in length by manufacturer. If the shell will go into the magazine without forcing it the magazine will feed fine.
- We recommend the following brands for this upper: Nobel Sport, Herter, and Estate .410 ammunition.

Just what I wanted
This is just what I wanted -- I purchased one from another dealer and really like it -- it is great for home defense as it is short enough for corners. You don't have to worry about over penetration if you use the Hornady Critical Defense rounds. Plus, it is fun to shot at the range and for close distance target shooting -- I received the item very quickly, which was great as well -- Thank you, and I'll be shopping again and recommending your store to others.

Finally found the best mag.
I'm not sure why this got some bad reviews. Probably from people who don't know there's a little break in time and some adjustments. I love mine and fixing to buy another.

Will purchase from disgruntled buyers
While they need some "tweaking", they are really good uppers, if you really hate yours, send me a note on spacebook and I'll buy them.

A Different Kinda AR
After finishing lower build, decided to do something different. The IMG upper is well made and the fit and finish works for me. If it cycles and shoots as well as it looks, will be very pleased.

410 mag
The upper works fine the mags sticking they load in it but they get stuck in place once I load 4 or 5 rounds and the gun won't chamber a shell like the shell end is up to far which makes the brass part point down to much so the bolt don't catch it.

Updated Review...
I can't seem to edit my previous one star review, so I will give it four stars to get back to the average of three it deserves. Problem: Firing pin not striking primer. Solution: Firing pin depth had to be adjusted inward over 15 thousandths of an inch (0.015) to even reach the primer to touch it. It took about another 0.015 to get it to fire reliably. I went in small steps. I do not suggest doing this unless you understand why and how. I verified everything else first to make sure there weren’t any other issues first. As a tinkerer, this isn’t the end of the world for me, but for many people, this upper would be completely dead in the water, so I think three stars is appropriate because of this. If you don’t mind tinkering with things, this upper seems to be of good design. I see nothing fundamentally wrong with it after disassembly and inspection. Once I got the firing pin issue diagnosed and corrected, the upper runs great. This thing uses a proprietary, or at least non-standard length, firing pin so be careful not to do something irreversible if this is the eventual solution, as I doubt parts for these things are common. SO… Tinkerers Rating would be a 4.5…because it was fixable. This was a QC issue with IMG, not a fundamental design flaw causing problems. Out of the box Shooters Rating would be a 1.0… because it arrived not broken, but completely non-functional. If you can fix simple issues, get this thing and you will probably enjoy it… otherwise, from the reviews it seems kind of hit and miss. Good luck! MrBlackCat

Great .410 upper some cleaning reqd
Worked and cycled fine right out of the box and accurate as long as I USE SHELLS SHORT ENOUGH FOR THE MAG TO WORK be sure you have a strong hammer spring in your lower .. Or it might go click .. had to upgrade mine to a +15% one to get consistent ignition because the firing pin is a good bit heavier than a regular ar pin. Expect some grit from the manufacturing process to come out w first cleaning after a lil target practice . Really like the completely shrouded barrel design The flat black finish is suprisingly quite good and durable if its actually hydro dip they've mastered the process. Probably gonna use this gun for deer season this fall suprisingly good w slugs despite smoothbore
