What We Know

Convert your AR-15 platform rifle into versatile .410 Bore Shotgun with this complete upper receiver assembly! This Upper features a cylinder slug smooth bore barrel constructed of 4140 steel and an aluminum receiver. This gas-operated .410GA upper will mount right up to any standard .223/5.56 AR-15 lower receiver giving you a fantastic new tool for hunting or home defense that can shoot anything from birdshot to deer slugs!

Each upper has been test fitted and fired. As with all firearms, these shotgun uppers must go through a break-in period — Additionally, .410 shotshells are notoriously inconsistent in size.

Complete Upper Receiver Includes:

  • Flattop aluminum upper receiver
  • Complete bolt carrier group
  • Dust cover assembly
  • Charging handle
  • Aluminum Picatinny rail handguard
  • (1) 10rd magazine

Fits: Most mil-spec AR-15 .223/5.56 lower receivers

Can ship to California

Shotshell Recommendations

Due to inconsistencies in the length of .410 shotshells, the following parameters are recommended:

  • For best results, use shells 2.25" in length
  • Use .410 shells with a minimum of 1200 fps
  • Use shells short enough to be easily loaded into the magazine(s)
  • Do not exceed the magazines listed capacity

    so so

Very particular on what will feed in it, must be smooth sides, even then it jams more than not. I have found reloads works better, but even those will jam often.

    Looks great but won't fire

Gun chambers a round but only clicks when fired leaving no dimple on firing pin. Could really use some help

    Disappointed

Posted by Dan on Jul 7th 2020

When I first got it I was excited especially when I saw it came with sights. Then I started to look at it, the finish is excellent. It was rather light. The magazines is where the problems begin. They feel like cheap plastic. On you put shells in the follower will stick, it was supposed to be a ten round but can only get 4 rounds In. When shooting first two rounds went well, after that it had several failure to feed, most of the time not picking up a round. The upper itself seem to work well when it picked a round up, with one where it short stroke and didn’t go far enough back to pick a round. Over all the upper is fairly cool

    Fun but picky eater

Posted by John on Jun 14th 2020

Arrived a few days ago, packaged well. Flip-up sights were in the box, although I've seen better quality airsoft sights. Holding up ok so far, though. Cannot find any blemishes. No manual of any kind. Purchased as a range amusement, and in that role I'm quite happy with it. It is picky about the .410 it uses, some shells didn't feed well, some shells fed a little too well (Ron's experience having a magazine unload itself repeated itself). I'm still trying various brands / loads to find something it really likes. There appears to be quite a bit going on under the handguards, which leads me to believe that a standard free-float tube won't work, which annoys me, because I cannot stand "systems" of any style. I'm not one to go hanging a bunch of stuff on my firearms, so I was hoping I could replace the rail system with something different. Again, a manual or parts breakout would be nice. I'll probably block a magazine down to the state limits and take it squirrel hunting, but that's about as far as I'd trust it. Again, it was purchased as something to entertain myself with at the range, and it that respect, it's was worth it and the few issues it has are not deal-breakers. Would have 5 stars if: more reliable feeding; manual, or at least an exploded parts diagram.

Nice addition to the AR platform at a reasonable price but has challenges

Posted by Ron on May 21st 2020

Just received this product. Packaged very well and even had the pop up sights (even though they are pretty cheesy). Assembled this to the lower and chambered the first round. Tried to clear the round but it would not eject. Removed the magazine and separated the upper from the lower and was able to remove the round. Reloaded the mag hit it just right and all 9 rounds left flew out of the magazine. Reloaded again and locked the magazine in the gun. Fired off 6 rounds with no issues. Ejected the magazine but was unable to clear the chambered round. Had to fire the last round to clear the chamber.
