Description
This is a complete, original Polish DPM light machine gun parts kit manufactured at the legendary Radom arsenal and marked with the distinctive Circle 11 factory code. The DPM (Degtyaryov Pekhotny Modified) represents the modernized version of the iconic DP-28, adopted by the Soviet Union in 1943-1944 and later produced under license by Poland during the early Cold War era as part of the Eastern Bloc's standardized armament program.
This 7.62x54R parts kit includes the original intact barrel along with all major components featuring matching serial numbers. The DPM incorporated significant improvements over the original DP-28, including a more robust bipod fastened to the cooling jacket and the recoil spring housed in a tube projecting from the rear of the receiver, which necessitated the addition of a pistol grip. The kit includes cut receiver sections with surface rust only on some cut sections — metal finish otherwise presents well for a surplus parts kit.
The Circle 11 marking identifies this kit as manufactured at Zakłady Metalowe im. gen. "Waltera" (General Walter Metal Works) in Radom, Poland, a factory with distinguished history in arms production. With only approximately 795,000 total DP-28/DPM units produced between 1928 and the early 1950s, these kits represent an increasingly rare opportunity for collectors, historical firearms enthusiasts, and builders seeking authentic Cold War-era Eastern Bloc machine gun components in Very Good condition.
