Description
Rare 1958 Polish KBK wz. 1958 Parts Kit – Solid Fixed Stock, Milled Type 3, Original Polish Barrel in 7.62x39mm (matching numbers #07407)
“Small Batch” alert: we are first to bring to market a limited run of KBK wz. rifles still wearing their torch-cut Type 3 receivers and intact factory barrels. Every kit is listed individually, so what you see is exactly what you get.
This set is a 1958-dated, Circle 11-stamped Polish AK-47 that left Radom’s famed Łucznik factory before Poland transitioned to stamped AKMs. It retains a matching-number group (#07407) – receiver stub, bolt, bolt-carrier, recoil spring and dust cover all roll-marked alike. The original cold-hammer-forged barrel remains pinned in the trunnion with strong, bright rifling.
KBK wz. 1958 & Polish AK history
KBK is short for Karabinek—Polish for “carbine.” The model code wz. 1958 (“wzór 1958” = “Pattern 1958”) identifies Poland’s license-built Type 3 AK with a machined receiver. Produced in relatively small numbers from 1957-1962, these rifles bridged the gap between the Soviet Type 3 and the stamped-receiver AKM. Early Polish carbines kept the milled strength, a deep hot-blued finish, and hardwood furniture that resisted the Baltic climate. Because most were rebuilt into training rifles or used for AKM conversions in the late 1960s, matching KBK wz. 1958 kits are exceptionally scarce today.
