Description
The Carbine S is the original Tippmann-98–derived PepperBall® launcher that replaced the SA-200 in 2006. Built on a Tippmann 98 Custom NON-ACT receiver, it delivers rock-solid paintball-marker reliability in a tool that fires PAVA®, inert, marking, water and glass-breaker projectiles. An offset, gravity-feed breech keeps the sight-line clear; simply hinge the hopper down-and-right to top-load fresh rounds.
Powered by either a 13 cu in / 3 000 psi bottle (standard patrol) or an optional forward-mounted 47 cu in tank for extended riot use, the launcher runs CO₂ or HPA with no internal changes. The semi-auto blow-back action launches .68-cal balls at ≈ 300 fps—target-accurate to 60 ft and capable of saturating an area out to 150 ft with pepper powder.
A 160-round hopper (same Twist-Lock/EL-2 units used on modern VKS™ and FTC™ launchers) minimizes reloads, while the Picatinny top rail and vertical fore-grip give operators plenty of control and accessory space. The two-piece clamshell body strips with basic hand tools, and every wear part—from bolt o-rings to the cyclone-feed pawl—cross-matches the Tippmann 98 parts bin for decade-long service support.
