Description
This is a genuine original surplus barrel from the Portuguese FMP (Fábrica de Material de Guerra) manufactured Heckler & Koch G3 rifle, chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62x51mm NATO.
Produced under license in Portugal, these barrels are renowned for their robust construction, cold hammer-forged steel, and precise 1:10 twist rifling, delivering reliable accuracy and performance in battle-proven designs. With an overall length of approximately 17.7 inches and threaded at 15x1 RH (right-hand), it features a knurled sight ring and 12-flute chamber, making it fully compatible with HK G3/91, PTR-91, CETME, and similar rifle builds or restorations.
With the recent change in the barrel ban of 2006, original firearm barrels are now legal to import and use.
Prior to disassembly, the original FMP G3 barrels are removed prior to cutting receivers. Very little stress marks when pressed out from the receivers.
Bore condition: We've run a patch down each barrel. Mostly shiny with occasional dark spot here or there. Rifling looks good.
