MotorGuide’s X5-105FW Foot Control Bow Mount Trolling Motor w/Sonar is designed to elevate your fishing experience to new heights. This tournament-caliber motor is engineered to deliver unparalleled performance, ensuring quiet operation, rugged durability, and precise control.
Serious anglers will be captivated by the X5’s solid construction and MotorGuide’s patented Variable Ratio Steering (VRS) technology. VRS allows for subtle and precise steering adjustments, virtually eliminating torque steering feedback that can compromise boat stability and control.
Available in four power ranges and three shaft lengths, the X5 caters to anglers of all skill levels and preferences.
Experience unparalleled quietness on the water with the X5. Premium, high-strength materials and innovative design solutions ensure long-term, quiet operation during fishing or stowing and deploying. A composite locking pin maintains a tight and quiet fit with the mount, making stowing and deploying a breeze. Composite bushings further reduce noise, while precision bearing assemblies and a locking collar eliminate shaft clicking. MotorGuide’s 2-blade weedless propeller spins smoothly and quietly, providing a seamless fishing experience.
Built to withstand the rigors of tournament fishing, the X5 is engineered for durability and performance. The stable wide mount features a snapback breakaway mechanism for added protection. The mounting bracket is constructed with extruded aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring strength and rigidity. Durable, tight-fitting composite bushings in critical wear points guarantee long-lasting performance.
The oversized stainless steel outer column provides strength and corrosion resistance, while the inner column is made of a premium composite with a lifetime guarantee against breaking.
Revolutionize your steering and boat control with VRS, the MotorGuide innovation that puts you in the winner’s circle.
Variable Ratio Steering (VRS) technology provides anglers with unparalleled control. It employs a unique elliptical cam that generates two distinct steering actions, determined by the direction of the motor.
For instance, when the boat is moving forward (in the Primary Angling Zone), the steering is deliberate and enables precise and subtle adjustments. This exceptional maneuverability is ideal for fishing those elusive spots and working brush and other cover. However, when a quick turn to avoid obstacles in the water is necessary, the motor responds by turning much faster.
VRS technology also virtually eliminates the effects of torque steering feedback, resulting in a more predictable steering response, improved boat stability, and enhanced overall control.
Standard Digital Power Management extends battery life up to five times, allowing anglers to fish longer. Additionally, Digital technology operates at lower temperatures, providing more power to the thrust motor and safeguarding the motor’s components. These features are all standard on the X5.
