The MG3 Complete bolt assembly. Chambered for 7.62 x 51, these bolts for the younger brother of the world famous MG42: the MG3. These bolts were heavier, which in turn provided a slower rate of fire compared to its wartime predecessor. The MG3 sacrificed the cyclic rate of the MG-42 for improved function and reliability in the field. The thick bottom rail on the bolt body allows for the bolt to pick rounds out of the belt without allowing the links to get trapped underneath. The enhanced rear post with its internal roller and spring, along with the use of pins instead of rivets allows for easy disassembly and maintenance on the bolt body as well as the head.
