Usage Recommendations:
- As with all firearms, this Semi-Auto shotgun upper must go through a break-in period. In some cases, two boxes might be required.
- These uppers were designed and tested using European-manufactured 410 shotgun shells.
- For best results, use shells that measure 2.25" - 2.39" in overall length.
- Use .410 High Brass Shotgun shells to break in. A minimum of 1200 fps is recommended. These magazines will not accommodate all 2 1/2″ 410 gauge shells. 410 ammunition varies in length by manufacturer. If the shell will go into the magazine without forcing it the magazine will feed fine.
- We recommend the following brands for this upper: Nobel Sport, Herter, and Estate .410 ammunition.

Awesome upper! The rear takedown pin didn’t align but I just used a file on the rear and bam fits like a glove, bought and extra mag and both fit well! Time to find some 410 ammo now -___-

Upper seems to operate correctly, however did not have the ammo to fully test(ammogeden). Did have issues with mag and 2 extra mags I purchased. All 3 had to be modified (removed a good bit of material were it was interfering),to fit in the maxwell. Tried 4 different lowers, they would not fit without forcefully inerting. They are working fine now. Will do another review when I find some more ammo.

If you are not prepared and capable of making MODS ..DO NOT BUY !!
1. Mandatory that you acquire shells that are at the length (many shells vary in length regardless of classification that will fit properly into the mag you choose) the mag that you use. I have found that Metal AR 223/556 mags (along with 410 mags of course) work well but not 223/556 mags with narrow slot type guides. 2. Expect some slop/wobble in upper receiver to lower fit depending on your specific lower. 3. ******You may have to machine the flat area below the start of the feed ramp to allow for clearance of shell to properly engage ramp **** If you are not willing to have this done then chances are you will want to return the upper. I think the build/design of this upper as it is most closer to the AR platform than all others to include a forward assist and external threaded barrel to add OD chokes and other screw on devices. I have found a great variety of 410 so called 2.5 shells at the acceptable length to properly fit/work in the mags I use. Read in the sales literature what the MAX length of shell can be. The Bolt hold open feature can be quite touchy also.

Federal 410. 2 1/2. Works. Great. Any 410 ammo that is 2 1/4. Overall ( Winchester. 410 2 1/2. Is a little to long it is 2 3/8 long )

What ammo is best for this and will any ammo size fit like 2 1/2 in or 3" fit???

Not a bad upper great price,,,magazines and ammo Anit hard to find... unlike sum people like to cry about...
