The HK-21 feed mechanism housing, with the feed mechanism retainer, is used to hold the feed mechanism assembly in place and keep it stable when firing. Thee housings are perfect for someone putting their first kit together to practice with or use by any HK-21 builder to replace any damaged or poorly cut housings. With these surplus housings, concerns over messing up your first build are a worry of the past.
The HK21, made by H&K, and their Portuguese subcontractor FMP, was the West German evolution in firearm technology. Designed in conjunction with the MP5 and G3, the most prevalent early buyer was Portugal, who would later buy a license to manufacture the machine guns as well. Much like the G3, it fires NATO’s 7.62 x 51. The HK21s would go on to be used by Portugal until just a few years ago. It’s the bigger brother to an iconic battle rifle, reinforced and updated to serve better as an LMG.
