The MPI KM (Maschinenpistole Kalashnikow, modernisiert) is the East German fixed stock variant of the AK-47/AKM platform, manufactured by VEB Fahrzeug- und Waffenfabrik “Ernst Thälmann” in Suhl, East Germany (DDR). These parts kits are increasingly rare and sought after by collectors and builders worldwide.
Matching: Bolt, bolt carrier, and dust cover match the serial.
Non-Matching: Gas tube is Russian. Recoil spring assembly is non-German with no number.
