E-Lander (Dies Industries J. This 17-round 6.5 Grendel magazine is built from heat-treated heavy-gauge steel with a KTL Maritime coating — a cathodic electro-deposition (E-coat) process where the steel body is submerged in a paint bath and an electrical current bonds a uniform 15–40 micron layer deep into every surface, including internal recesses. Oven-cured at 180°C, this finish is chemically bonded to the substrate rather than mechanically adhered, making it the most durable corrosion protection available for steel magazines. It has been independently certified to withstand 96 continuous hours of salt-spray testing (ASTM B117 / ISO 9227) with no degradation — the same process used to protect automotive vehicle frames. The Grendel-specific anti-tilt polymer follower is engineered for the larger 6.5mm projectile diameter and correct feed angle, while the heavy-duty music-wire spring is calibrated specifically for the Grendel cartridge dimensions.

Note on body geometry: The 6.5 Grendel was specifically engineered by Alexander Arms to fit within a standard mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver with no modification. This magazine shares its external profile with a standard 20-round .223 magazine — it seats and drops free in any mil-spec lower without alteration.
