History
Manufactured by the Czechoslovak firm ∆í√•eská zbrojovka — and bearing a striking resemblance to the original Walther PP handgun design — the CZ-70 is based on the CZ-50, and served as the sidearm for the Czechoslovakian police and security/intel services in the 1970s.
Design
- The CZ-70 is a 8-shot single/double-action, semi-automatic blowback pistol chambered in .32 ACP.
- The fixed barrel design and trigger yields very good combat accuracy.
- Larger, lightened, commander-style hammer.
- The two-position safety lever mechanism can be carried in the 'cocked-n-locked' or hammer down positions for a DA first shot and the safety will work as a decocker to accomplish this.
