Description
The Century Arms BFT47 CORE (RI4317-X) represents American-made AK reliability designed from the ground up to deliver durability and accuracy at an affordable price point. Built entirely in the USA, the BFT47 (Bulged Forged Trunnion) features a bulged and forged 4140 steel front trunnion—borrowing design cues from the legendary VEPR for increased strength and stability. With a carburized 4140 steel bolt, 1.5mm heat-treated stamped 4130 steel receiver, manganese phosphate finish, and a 16" 1:10 chrome-moly 4150 steel barrel, this rifle is engineered to operate under stress with all commercially available ammunition.
The BFT47 CORE includes Century's single-stage RAK-1 Enhanced Trigger Group with machined release surfaces for a smooth, consistent trigger pull. The rifle features a bayonet lug, steel cleaning rod, and a front sight block with a height-adjustable post paired with a notched rear tangent sight calibrated from 100 to 800 meters. Simply put, this rifle is designed from the trunnion out to "Just Keep Going."
This unique configuration features a fluted barrel for enhanced cooling and distinctive aesthetics, paired with classic wood furniture for traditional AK styling. The upgraded US Palm pistol grip provides superior ergonomics, and the Century Arms M109 muzzle brake effectively reduces recoil for faster follow-up shots.
